ur goal, working with our client, was to create a luxury home with timeless design, open and airy throughout.  All major rooms were designed to have views to the lake at the back of the home. The home has 2 levels.  The main level is to be used daily and for entertaining by the owners.  The great room and dining room are side by side. A custom built in for TV, sound and collectables, soars up to the coffered ceiling.

The kitchen has Thermador appliances that include,  gas range with custom designed hood built around  exhaust  system,  a steam unit is built in along with refrigerator drawers, 2 dishwashers, trash compactor and  built-in Refrigerator and Freezer.  A large island provides a prep area and a sit down bar. A built-in banquette is used for sitting in the Nook.  Electric Sliding Glass Doors open to the outdoor cook  center.  A large arch opens to the main living room, providing for additional sitting. An arched alcove holds the wine center. The owner’s desire was to be with their guests and not secluded while preparing meals and snacks.

The master suite provides a luxurious bath, tranquil retreat and large sleeping quarters.  A library/music room has been sound proofed so the owner can  listen to music as loud as he likes, two walls are designed to hold CD’s, records,  books and collectibles.  A separate Casita Suite for guests is detached from the main living area.  The second level is designed with 3 Bedrooms, Living and Game Room for the visits from adult children and their families.  A balcony overlooking the great room can be closed off by pocketing doors.

The lanai/pool area has been designed for outdoor living at its best.  An outdoor Kitchen is designed with a  custom exhaust hood,  gas grill, dishwasher, refrigerator,  sink,  and granite top. Shutters for ventilation and privacy are on each side of the hood. A sitting area in front of the fireplace has a pecky  cypress ceiling.  This is designed as an outdoor Living Room.  There is a separate dining area and also lounging area.  The lanai areas look out to the pool through arched openings softened with exterior draperies an open air shower is hidden behind a peek-a-boo cedar door.

Close attention was paid to the home’s finishes.  From the custom mahogany and   leaded glass entry doors to the interior use of glass tiles, tumbled stone, wood,  granite and keystone.  The home has the latest in lighting, self-opening sliding glass doors, and is backed up with a 60 KW generator.
