t 12 years old, this home was crying for some serious help. The new owners wanted a lighter, brighter kitchen. They also wanted an updated master bath, also lighter, brighter and roomy, that felt like a spa. They needed a study, wanted a sit-down bar, but didn't think it possible with the home's given space arrangement. They also desired outdoor kitchen.

Our review of their kitchen and master bath determined that the counters needed updating, although the cabinets were in excellent condition. The client was satisfied with the existing layout. Our team advised that the master bath had too many cabinets, thus wasting needed space. This room also had outdated countertops and tile, and a cumbersome tub in the center of the room.

The master bath cabinets were modified and refaced, new granite tops were added, the tub deck was removed and reinstalled at a much smaller scale. New flooring and paint was installed in master bath and master bedroom, and along accessories, created the spa effect the clients desired.

In the kitchen, the cabinets were refaced, and new counters were installed. Our team looked over the home's blueprints and discovered that an unused pantry could be transformed into a sit-down beverage bar, which thrilled the client and opened up the surrounding space.

A study was created by reclaiming a portion of the lanai area that was seldom used. This space transformation allowed for a wall desk built-in and a hideabed along the opposite wall to be used for overflow guest space. Pocket doors open from the family room to the study, allowing it to be closed off for privacy. A side garden outside the family room became a perfect spot for the outdoor kitchen complete with grill, sink and refrigerator.

Unique space reallocations, along with updating and refreshing, transformed this client's house into a modern, luxury home.
